सरला बिरला पब्लिक स्कूल, रांची ने शिक्षा को केवल पाठ्यपुस्तकों तक सीमित न रखकर उसे एक आनंदमयी और व्यावहारिक अनुभव बनाने की अपनी प्रतिबद्धता को दोहराया है। इस दिशा में विद्यालय द्वारा नर्सरी से कक्षा छठी तक के विद्यार्थियों के लिए अनुभवात्मक शिक्षण कार्यक्रमों की एक श्रृंखला का आयोजन किया गया। इस अनूठी पहल के अंतर्गत नर्सरी से दूसरी कक्षा तक के नन्हे विद्यार्थियों के लिए ‘बैगलेस डे‘ और कक्षा पांचवी व छठी के विद्यार्थियों के लिए एक विशेष शैक्षिक फिल्म स्क्रीनिंग का आयोजन किया गया।
‘बैगलेस डे‘ के अवसर पर विद्यालय परिसर रचनात्मकता और उत्साह के केंद्र में तब्दील हो गया। प्री-प्राइमरी के विद्यार्थियों के लिए ए. सरकार एंड ग्रुप द्वारा प्रस्तुत जादुई शो मुख्य आकर्षण रहा, जिसने बच्चों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया। साथ ही, टैटू आर्ट और ‘टम्बल टॉसर‘ जैसी मनोरंजक गतिविधियों के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों में टीम वर्क, शारीरिक समन्वय और सक्रिय भागीदारी की भावना का संचार हुआ। इस आयोजन के दौरान आयोजित सहभोज ने विद्यार्थियों के बीच आपसी सौहार्द, मित्रता और सामाजिक जुड़ाव को और अधिक प्रगाढ़ बनाने का कार्य किया।
वहीं, कक्षा पांचवी और छठी के विद्यार्थियों ने फन सिनेमा में एक विशेष शैक्षिक फिल्म का अवलोकन किया। यह सत्र न केवल फिल्म निर्माण की तकनीकी बारीकियों को समझने का माध्यम बना, बल्कि विद्यार्थियों को सिनेमाई परिवेश का प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव भी कराया। फिल्म में दर्शाए गए मित्रता, साहस, दया और दृढ़ता जैसे प्रेरणादायक मूल्यों ने विद्यार्थियों को कक्षा में अर्जित ज्ञान को वास्तविक जीवन की स्थितियों से जोड़ने और उन पर गंभीरता से चिंतन करने के लिए प्रेरित किया। कार्यक्रम के दौरान शिक्षकगणों की सक्रिय उपस्थिति ने न केवल विद्यार्थियों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित की, बल्कि उन्हें हर गतिविधि में उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लेने के लिए मार्गदर्शन भी प्रदान किया। यह आयोजन विद्यार्थियों के सर्वांगीण विकास की दिशा में एक अत्यंत सराहनीय कदम सिद्ध हुआ है।
प्राचार्या श्रीमती मनीषा शर्मा ने इस आयोजन पर प्रकाश डालते हुए कहा कि अनुभवात्मक शिक्षण बच्चों को किताबी ज्ञान की परिधि से बाहर निकालकर अवलोकन, रचनात्मकता और भागीदारी के माध्यम से विषयों की गहरी समझ विकसित करने के लिए सशक्त बनाता है। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि ऐसी पहल न केवल विद्यार्थियों में आत्मविश्वास और जिज्ञासा का संचार करती है, बल्कि सीखने की प्रक्रिया को एक सार्थक और जीवनपर्यंत चलने वाला सुखद अनुभव बनाती है।
Learning Beyond the Classroom: SBPS Makes Experiential Learning a Celebration of Discovery
Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi organised a series of experiential learning activities for students from Nursery to Std. VI, reinforcing its commitment to making education engaging, meaningful and enjoyable. The initiatives included a vibrant Bagless Day for students of Nursery to Std. II and a special educational movie screening at Fun Cinemas for the students of Std. V and VI, providing age-appropriate opportunities to learn through observation, participation and real-life experiences.
The Bagless Day transformed the campus into a lively hub of creativity, exploration and joyful learning. Young learners of Pre-Primary were enthralled by a captivating magic show presented by A. Sarkar’s group and enthusiastically participated in tattoo art and a variety of recreational activities, including Tumble Tosser, which promoted coordination, teamwork and active engagement. A group lunch further enriched the experience by fostering friendship, togetherness and social bonding in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.
Students of Std. V and VI visited Fun Cinemas for a specially curated educational movie screening that offered valuable insights into the creative and technical aspects of filmmaking while allowing them to experience the ambience of a cinema hall. The film conveyed inspiring values such as friendship, teamwork, courage, kindness and perseverance. Its engaging visual storytelling encouraged students to connect classroom learning with real-life situations, think critically and reflect on the characters, events and life lessons portrayed in the film.
Teachers accompanied the students throughout the programmes, ensuring their safety, discipline and active participation. The thoughtfully planned activities encouraged curiosity, creativity, collaboration and reflective thinking, making learning both enriching and memorable.
Principal Ms. Manisha Sharma said that experiential learning empowers children to move beyond textbooks and develop a deeper understanding through observation, creativity, participation and real-world experiences. She added that such initiatives nurture curiosity, confidence and holistic development while transforming learning into a meaningful, enjoyable and lifelong journey.
